Tree Monkey

Kyler loved climing the big ole trees @ Pawpaw Jim's.

San Antonio

Rain, rain and some more rain! We left Friday afternoon headed to San Antonio for the Memorial Day weekend. It poured down rain for most of the trip there. Most of the weekend was overcast and dreary. We had a good time regardless! I was able to spend time with my friends Karen and Tara. Was so good seeing them both. I don't get to see them often enough!! Mike and Kyler floated the Guadaloupe River (I have no idea how to spell it either!!) with pawpaw Jim, so a good time was had by all!!

Ada, OK - home of Michael Shane

Today we drove to Ada, the town where Mike was born. Mike's family had a little get together. We took both kids and spent the afternoon. They played a little ball, including Pawpaw Jim! It was nice seeing Aunt Mary & Uncle Jim and meeting new family. Oh yeah, Mike said that I had him dressed like an old man!!! I thought that he looked good!

Summertime Fun

Mother's Day weekend turned out to be a busy one for us. After the LONG day we experienced yesterday with the installation of new floors, we decided to get the kids a swimming pool today. Its so what I wanted to do on Mother's Day! The kids are very anxious to get in and cool off. I can't imagine how hot our weather will be this July and August. The past two days we've been in the 80's.

Here are a couple more pictures!

Busy Day!!!

I finally got the new flooring that I've been wanting! It looks SUPER!!! My brother-in-law, Steven and Butch, a co-worker of Mike's did an AWESOME job!! They definitely have something they can fall-back on if needed. We started this morning about 10:30 and by 8:00 tonight we had the floors cleaned, furniture back in place and were enjoying the new floors. Much thanks to Steven and Butch for sacrificing their Saturday's to help us!!!

Cancun

Finally got the pictures that were taken in Cancun. Since Mike ruined the 1st disposable camera, in the ocean, I didn't have too many pictures to choose from. For some reason we always looked like we'd just crawled out of bed. So laid back down there, I could really use another week of fun in the sun!

Lazy Day...

Today has been one of those days where you just lay back n take it easy. We've had very overcast skies w/ high winds. We had a rain shower a little earlier, right after I watered my lawn. Go Figure! At least I will have a nice, green lawn. More rain expected over the next four days and that will help lower my water bill! My sweet husband grilled me the best steak I've eaten in awhile, for dinner tonight. What a treat! He even cleaned up the kitchen!!

Spring Fling

Last night Ash attended her first school dance. It was pretty crazy around my house while she and friend Sarah prepared for the event. They both looked so pretty. Ashlyn's "friend" Shawn brought her a wrist coursage - awe, how sweet! Here are a few pictures...

Healed

Well, as you can see Kyler has recovered nicely! He is learning how to work the computer along with his technologically challenged father! If I'd known that the laptop would be such a hit with the entire family, I'd have gotten one a long time ago. Everybody wants their turn and with Ashlyn, we had to establish time limits because she could stay on it all night! Speaking of Ash, she has her Spring Fling dance tonight! She's going to be a knock-out, so check back for those pictures later!

Wednesday Night AWANAs

Tonight was supposed to be special for Kyler. It was the last night for the AWANA program until this fall and they handed out awards. We are still attempting to find out exactly what took place on the bus ride home, but our son ended up with a bloody nose! It seems that that my totally innocent 7 year old (sarcasim) "provoked" a 12 year old to the point that he popped him a couple of times. Looks like a couple karate lessons are in order!

Long time...

Well hopefully, I'll be able to keep this more up-to-date. I've gotten a laptop for the house now and my camera's usb cord should arrive in the mail soon. I know some of you might not believe this, but I'm really to busy while at work to do anything with my blog. So check back often for updates and pictures of our crazy life. Attached is a picture of our family with Mike's father, step-mother, sister and her family. Will post more later.
