13 and 1 week

Guess now that we are thirteen, we are pretty cool! (or at least think we are!) Ashlyn grabbed my camera earlier to this afternoon to conduct a "photo shoot". Hopefully, soon she'll realize she looks so much better when she isin't smirking or giving the peace sign! I thought the they were quite comical! Enjoy.......

18th Day of Rain

I'm beginning to think we might need to build an ark!!! Today was the 18th consecutive day of rain. Yesterday there was so much rain that the water was standing on our street, causing the polycarts to float down the street. Kyler dressed for the weather and headed out to get the polycarts out of the street. What a good citizen! Usually we'd be experiencing dry weather, high water bills and extreme heat, so I guess we won't complain.

Kyler has just recently gotten into the whole "entertainment wrestling" Yeah I know... anyway last night he came walking out of his room adorned in the most horrific getup! Of course I have a picture!

Friday Evening

Nothing big going on in the Matthew's household, just a typical Friday night here. We are gearing up for an exciting Saturday, June 23, 2007. I cannot believe that my first born will be 13!!! Makes me feel really old too. Ashlyn is going to have a pool party tomorrow night. Let's pray the rain stops at least temporarily! It's rained everyday for the past week!!! I'm not going to torture you with pictures, this time, but tomorrow I should have lots of party pics to post! Be sure to check back.

Recovering

Well I'm recovering nicely from my "procedure". I feel much better today and am planning on returning to work tomorrow. Not sure how long I'll manage being there, but I will at least make an appearance. Mike has been wonderful in caring for me.... he made several trips yesterday for all of my different food cravings. Kids are doing well, Pretty Girl is also recovering nicely, the swelling is subsiding. I picked through my pictures to add a few. Enjoy!!!

Next Olympic Champion?

I think I might have the next Greg Louganis! Kyler loves the swimming pool and loves performing "tricks". I'm waiting for the day he is injured from one of his tricks. Kyler is such a daredevil! Ashlyn has spent the past two weeks with Jeff, attending basketball camps. She was named MVP for the 3rd year in a row at the Putnam City North's basketball camp. I think that this was her 4th year attending. Both kids are enjoying their summer.

Well we had some drama at our house on Father's Day. Somebody broke into our backyard during the night Saturday and attempted to steal our lawn equipment that is kept in our shed. Something must have spooked them off, because they took nothing, just turned everything upside down, and we found our weed eater in out polycart. The worst of it all was that they injured Pretty Girl. We think that she must have attacked them, or at least attempted to, so they kicked her or stomped on her front leg. We took her to the animal hospital so they could xray. They discovered no broken bones just alot of swelling. Pretty Girl has been living the sweet life the past two days; laying on the couch with an ice pack!

Okay, because I like seeing pictures, I think that others might too, so I am going to post a few!

Jr. Olympics

Ashlyn competed in the Jr. Olympics held in Yukon, Oklahoma yesterday. It was a timed shoot out and the one with the most points won. Ashlyn took 2nd place. I'm going to attach the video of Ashlyn's round, hopefully it will work.

Saturday Chores

Such a beautiful day!! Took the family to Chili's for lunch and a trip to Home Depot today. Then we enjoyed the much, missed sunshine this afternoon by doing a little yard work. We rewarded ourselves with a dip in the nice cool pool afterward. Now I'm going to eat the taco's my wonderful husband cooked up!!
